Married and father of four. From Umm al-Fahm, from a family displaced from Al-Lajjun (Kibbutz Megiddo and Kibbutz Midrach Oz stand on its lands). Graduate of Economics and Statistics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Master's studies in Economics at Tel Aviv University. Served as branch manager at Bank Hapoalim and manager of the Business Department at the Jewish-Arab Center for Economic Development.
A social-political activist for more than 20 years, I was elected leader of the opposition in the Umm al-Fahm Municipality from 2009 to 2013.
Cofounder of Neighbors at Peace and chair of the Environmental Quality Association in the Wadi Ara area. Board member of Life and Environment, an umbrella organization for more than 150 environmental groups. Cofounder of the Correct Narrative group in Umm al-Fahm.
Member of various groups such as Sipur Hikaya, which aligns with my vision of presenting the Palestinian narrative to Jewish society in Israel in order to achieve peace. I believe in the need for a shared Jewish-Palestinian vision for a sustainable solution that ensures normal life for all future Jewish and Palestinian generations.
I am a social democrat who believes in full equality for all Jews and Palestinians from the river to the sea, whether in one state or two.
