Congratulations on the agreement on the return of the prisoners and the end of the war, and hope for the continuation of the process towards peace

The All Citizens Party welcomes the agreement to cease fire and end the war in Gaza, and to return all the hostages, while demanding that the deal be implemented in its entirety, in all its stages.

There is no doubt that such a deal could have been signed earlier, not only in May, but also as a follow-up to the first deal that was signed at the beginning of the war. Such a thing would have spared tens of thousands of casualties on both sides, and saved the terrible destruction and suffering.

We hope that this deal will pave the way for a return to normality, for the return of residents of the south and north to their homes and rehabilitation, for the return of displaced Palestinians to the places from which they were displaced, and for the reconstruction of the devastated Gaza Strip.

At the same time, we are aware of the difficulties posed by vested political elements on the right and the far right, and call on the Prime Minister not to give in to these delusional elements and to continue towards a sustainable arrangement.

We must draw the political, security and human lesson from what happened in this damned war, and internalize the fact that only a true and just peace between the two peoples will ensure security, normal life and economic prosperity for all residents of the region. Such a peace is possible only with mutual recognition of the rights of both peoples to freedom in the space between the sea and the river and a willingness to compromise and make concessions on both sides. Peace is a possible goal and we must move towards it.

The All Citizens Party declares in its core values "an uncompromising commitment to ending the occupation, to sustainable peace, and to a just political settlement agreed upon by both national communities, an arrangement that will be built with the support and partnership of the countries of the region and other countries
