"Recently, the phrase "I didn't know" has been echoed by various men.
They may be seen as important men—powerful, successful, and masculine heroes.
These men are consumed by their personal victories, disregarding human lives. They are immersed in self-obsession, seeking only more control, power, honor, and wealth. Victory after victory, always craving more.
There is no innocent 17-year-old girl.
No children, women, or uninvolved men in Gaza.
No other people exist.
No Israeli civilians abducted or soldiers dying or wounded because they succumbed to messages of heroism.
Blind faith in "the occupation."
Male supremacy, Jewish supremacy, and boundless power surge to dominate bodies, women, and lands, driving the state toward moral and human decline.
"I didn’t know," claim the perpetrators of sexual crimes who continue to exploit others.
"I didn’t know," and they sign off.
Drunk on their faith and power. The ideal model of masculinity we see on the streets, on the roads, in government, and in the occupied territories.
